5 Days Tour to Huangyao Ancient Town

Day 1

Arrival Guilin Upon arriving in Guilin by flight or train, you will be greeted by our local guide and transferred to hotel on private basis. Enjoy your free time for the rest of the day. Guilin is a small city in South China, well known for the great landscape, crystal-like waters as well as karst limestone formations.

Guilin Lianjiang Airport - downtown of Guilin: around 30km (30-40 min by car or taxi)
Guilin Railway Station - downtown of Guilin: just in the downtown

Day 2

Guilin    Yangshuo   
Li River is the mother river of Guilin. Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is a highlight trip while tourist visit Guilin. You could see the essence view of Li River from Nine Horses Painting Hill to Xingping on board, where you will feel you are just walking in a landscape painting, consisting of crystal Li River Water, rolling green hills along the river, bamboo on the bank, wondering water buffaloes, fishermen, ect.
Pick up from your hotel at around 08:30, drive from downtown to Zhujiang Pier for about 30-40 minutes, from which you will board the cruise boat from Guilin to Yangshuo. The cruise boat genereally departs at 09:30 and arrive at Yangshuou Pier around 14:00.
After the tour, you could have some free time in Yangshuo to stroll along the famous West Street or ride a bike to explore the countryside as your optional tour ( on your expense).

Day 3

Yangshuo    Huangyao Ancient Town    Yangshuo
This morning, after a short driving, you will reach Huangyao Ancient Town, which history can be dated back to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1279). Take a relaxation tour in this town, you will find yourself just start a time travel-no skyscrapers, no busy traffic, only the flagstone walkway and aged housing tell you about the glory of the past. In the afternoon, then drive back to overnight in Yangshuo.

Huangyao Ancient Town is the one of the most popular destinations for foreign travelers. The family names of the townspeople were mainly Huang and Yao, hence the town became known as "Huangyao Town". The town is most famous for its mountains with caves, pavilions, temples, ancestor hills, old trees and tables. Every comer of the town presents typical Chinese scene and presents a marvelous photo views. It has been described as that: “Huangyao town as a millennium collection, have been forgotten in the library quiet on the shelves when people come inadvertently turned this beautiful chapter, simple and elegant style to conquer the hearts of the people.”

Day 4

Yangshuo    Guilin
In the morning, have an excursion (if you are interested, can have a biking) in the countryside of Yangshuo to admire some of the most stunning scenery like the Moon Hill and the Big Banyan Tree. Drive back to Guilin after lunch.

Day 5

Departure Guilin
Before breakfast, if you are interested in morning exercise, you could have a walk or run along Li River or the lakes, which is just near to your hotel. Then you could see many locals doing exercise also, running, dancing, practicing Tai Chi Quan, ect.
After a leisure breakfast, we will show you to explore the city of Guilin by visiting to Elephant Trunk Hill, which is the symbol of Guilin City. Then explore Reed Flute Cave. It is a representative of the karst landform in Guilin, where you could see extraordinary and colorful-lighted scene.
After lunch, transfer to airport or railway station to next destination.
