Yangshuo County is located in the northeast part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Pingle County and about 65km away from the Guilin City. The county was first founded in the 10th year of the Sui Dynasty (590AD) with a history of more than 1400 years. Under the jurisdiction of Guilin, Yangshuo County covers an area of 1428 square kilometers with a population about 300,000. There lives 11 ethnic groups including Zhuang, Yao, Hui, etc..
